Kolejowe Zakłady Nawierzchniowe “Bieżanów” has been manufacturing railway turnouts for more than 80 years. During this period, the company has become one of the undisputed leaders of the industry in Poland. During the privatization process and the subsequent efforts to stabilize the company’s financial situation (2004–2006), our shareholders and employees identified shortcomings across the entire rail infrastructure market. These included competency gaps at various stages of investment and maintenance projects related to rail infrastructure.

In response to these challenges, the idea emerged to create a business structure capable of delivering these services in a comprehensive manner. Infrastructure managers and investors involved in rail projects should be able to obtain fully professional, end-to-end support from a single source — from design and consultancy, through manufacturing and logistics, to construction and subsequent maintenance of rail infrastructure. This vision led to the creation of the KZN Bieżanów Group — a group of specialized companies operating in the railway and tram infrastructure sector. The Group’s competencies include technology development, infrastructure manufacturing, prefabrication, logistics, installation, and track maintenance.
