For the KZN Bieżanów Group, TRAKO 2025 in Gdańsk was much more than another trade fair. It was an opportunity to showcase our expertise, technologies and—just as importantly—our ability to approach the industry with creativity and a sense of humour. This year, visitors could explore two exhibition stands featuring the innovative CONTRACK technology alongside attractions that were impossible to miss.
Two Stands, One Vision – Innovation

Throughout TRAKO 2025, we presented the full range of solutions offered by the KZN Bieżanów Group—from railway and tram turnouts, turnout installation and maintenance services, to our advanced prefabrication technology for turnouts, level crossings and complete tram junctions: CONTRACK. Our technical experts were available throughout the exhibition to introduce visitors to our solutions and discuss their practical applications. Many conversations focused on the outdoor exhibit, covering topics such as maintenance cost optimisation, prefabrication, reducing track possession times and delivering tailor-made solutions. The experience gained from delivering major infrastructure projects, including Warsaw's Plac Zawiszy tram junction, allowed our specialists from CONTRACK and KZN Rail to demonstrate the tangible benefits of the technology through real-life examples.

The Railway Throne – Together We Build the Rail Empire

One of the highlights of our stand was undoubtedly the Railway Throne, built from realistic railway rails. Although made from durable plastic, it looked remarkably authentic. Visitors were invited to take a seat, capture a memorable photo and—if only for a moment—claim their place on the throne. We believe that everyone involved in the railway sector carries responsibility for the infrastructure that keeps the industry moving, making each of us part of a shared railway empire. Every element of the throne symbolised the contribution of our business partners to that common success. The experience was complemented by a glambot camera—the high-speed slow-motion camera familiar from red carpets and award ceremonies. The result? Dynamic, cinematic videos proving that the railway industry can be innovative and entertaining as well as highly professional. Visitors left not only with brochures but also with eye-catching social media content ready to share.
ImperaTOR: Race for the Throne

For visitors who enjoy strategic thinking, we prepared our own board game inspired by the realities of railway infrastructure management. Players take on the role of an infrastructure manager, planning railway lines, making strategic decisions, adapting to changing conditions and responding to unexpected events. Sound familiar? That was exactly the idea—a blend of entertainment, realistic challenges and industry-specific scenarios. The goal is simple: outsmart your competitors, build your Railway Empire and claim the throne—the very same throne displayed at our stand before it returns to Kraków.
Bringing Kraków and Podlasie to Gdańsk
Although we operate across Poland and beyond, we remain deeply connected to our regional roots. That is why we brought a touch of Kraków and Podlasie to TRAKO. Every day at noon, visitors could enjoy a colourful parade featuring a traditional Kraków trumpeter, a woman dressed in traditional Kraków folk costume and a European bison—the symbol of our companies based in the Podlasie region. The parade began with the famous Kraków bugle call performed from a stage made of a prefabricated CONTRACK level-crossing slab.
80 Years of Experience – Looking Ahead

TRAKO 2025 also marked a symbolic milestone for us. As KZN Bieżanów celebrates its 80th anniversary, we continue to demonstrate that tradition and innovation can move forward on the same track. This anniversary inspired us to create a trade fair experience that went beyond technology alone. We would like to thank everyone who visited our stands, shared conversations with our team and celebrated this special occasion with us.
